In 2017 and 2018 I traveled North America filming a documentary with my wife (fiancé at that time) 40,000km and 9 months of living on the road. Three months into the project we lost My Wife's Father. The photos I took during this time were an artistic release from the analytical documentary style of filming we were doing and also the grief of losing my father-in-law. I really discovered my own style and processes in this journey. 

The photos are in no order, the descriptions are my experience of the moment when I took the photo.

My encounters with wild horses during this project really ignited my love of wildlife photography. 
I don't know if I would have stood in front of wild horses without my fiance, she is an equine professional and I trusted her to make sure I was in a safe place to photograph.

We had been on the road for around a month at this time, I think our indigogo campaign had just paid us out the pathetic $4000 we raised to travel what we thought at the time would be 26,000km.
