In 2017 and 2018 I traveled North America filming a documentary with my wife (fiancé at that time) 40,000km and 9 months of living on the road. Three months into the project we lost My Wife's Father. The photos I took during this time were an artistic release from the analytical documentary style of filming we were doing and also the grief of losing my father-in-law. I really discovered my own style and processes in this journey. 

The photos are in no order, the descriptions are my experience of the moment when I took the photo.

I remember being so excited watching the lightning start off in the distance, at home we rarely get these kind of storms and you never see the lightning bolts. The wind was warm and just made the most incredible texture in the hay field. I watched the edge of the rain move past before we started driving again.
