In 2017 and 2018 I traveled North America filming a documentary with my wife (fiancé at that time) 40,000km and 9 months of living on the road. Three months into the project we lost My Wife's Father. The photos I took during this time were an artistic release from the analytical documentary style of filming we were doing and also the grief of losing my father-in-law. I really discovered my own style and processes in this journey. 

The photos are in no order, the descriptions are my experience of the moment when I took the photo.

Through this trip there were many moments where I could see a photo opportunity and knew that I couldn't stop because of the timeline we had set for filming. In New Mexico warnings started going off on our phones about a sandstorm, we were worried a bit since we never had been in a sandstorm. This was a moment where I had to stop and take the photo, sand was getting in my mouth and didn't know whether or not things were going to get worse.
