Anne Bonny (1697-1782 AD) was an Irish American pirate operating in the Caribbean, and one of a few female pirates in recorded history. The little that is known of her life comes largely from Captain Charles Johnson's A General History of the Pirates. Bonny’s period of marauding in the Caribbean enshrined her forever in both legend and pirate lore. She was married to another infamous pirate of the time, ‘Calico Jack’ Rackham.
