Mary, did you know

TEMPUS FLAIR, writer's journey. Drawn on 25 December 2022, after Christmas mass at Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The readings at mass include the Gospel text from John 1:12-13. When people speak, they speak of those who are included. If we listen to what's beneath the text, we begin to understand who has been excluded. Mary's role in the church is vital. She is the wild card, the voice by Jesus' ear, a nudge he can recognise through her eyes. She is woman, who gave life and form to deity, a God who embraces the dignity of human nature.
