Our Moon

I had been seeing these types of images all over Instagram during lockdown so I thought I would give it a try. This is made up of 2 separate moon phases. I have blended a 79% moon with a full moon to give the 3D effect. Then teased out the mineral colours found on the moon, which our eyes can't see using editing software. This was captured using my Fuji XT-2 attached to a Sky-watcher 72 ed telescope at 400mm. The stacking was done in Adobe Photoshop and edited in Pixinsight.
