During my first trip to Puerto Rico, I began to feel the warmth of Grandmother's love and sank deep into a state of comfort and solitude. I found myself catching a special twinkle coming from a candle. In a room where the only light sources were candles, I couldn't help but be transfixed on this particular flame and the energy it was emitting. As our spaceship was landing I began to draw the spirit I was seeing in the candle. The glare turned into the wings of a dragonfly, and the head of the flame turned into an insect all becoming synonymous with the cricket symphony being performed outside our cabin.
