After waking from a cold and sleepless night in Gorak Shep, we made our way up to Kala Patthar. A small slope in comparison to the surrounding giants, that reaches 5644m. It wasn’t until this morning where the effects of altitude were truly felt, both mentally and physically. As twilight slowly shifted to day, light began to dance over sections of the Everest Massif, with the pointed peak of Ama Dablam in the distance. To recreate this transition and feeling, I decided to create a composite by adding in the star covered sky from a different location.
