Tears of the Sun

In 2017, when I lived in California, I was given my first camera from my dad, an old Nikon D300. I quickly fell in love with photography and capturing the natural world. Less than a year later, I decided that photography was my passion, and I upgraded to a new camera so that I could evolve as a photographer and capture even better images. I look back at the moment I took this photo as the beginning of my journey as a serious photographer. This image was taken on my first trip with my new camera and reminds me to keep chasing beauty and light.
