Lake Mackenzie

Lake Mackenzie is a stunning spot on one of New Zealand’s most iconic multi day hikes. This area has been shaped by glaciers, fiords, rocky coasts, towering cliffs, lakes and waterfalls. I am always so inspired to create when I venture into New Zealand’s backcountry. When I work on an artwork of a specific spot I have been to it almost brings me back to that exact moment. Lake Mackenzie felt so tranquil and serene and I wanted to capture that feeling in this piece as a reminder for me but also so viewers can have a taste of what it was like to be here.
