This mighty peak, known to Māori as Aoraki or Cloud Piercer, is New Zealand’s highest mountain at 3,724 metres. Aoraki Mt Cook National park has a rich history of mountaineering and backcountry skiing. There is access via ski plane and heli to New Zealand's longest ski runs with panoramic scenery of the biggest mountains and glaciers in the country. I love creating artwork based off my experiences and am most inspired when in the outdoors doing what I love. This area is so special to me and I am in awe of Aoraki every time I see it.
