Much of what can be seen in Novosibirsk is on Krasny Prospekt.
Initially, this main street was called Nicholas Avenue in honor of Emperor Nicholas II. But the inhabitants simply called it "Prospect" - there was no other avenue in the city. In 1920, the street was renamed after the main revolutionary color of the USSR - and it became Krasny Prospekt (trans. Red Avenue).
By the way, Novosibirsk dudes of the 60s of the last century called the part of the avenue near the Mayakovsky Cinema "Brod".

I love this street and I just wanted to make it a little epic.
