The black volcanic beaches of Iceland are world renowned and Dyrhólaey is no exception. Words can't describe how inhospitable this environment can be. The sea can be raging, the wind ferocious, and the temperatures can be extremely uncomfortable to shoot in. We had it all on this day and thankfully I had the right lens on the camera for the job. One doesn't want to change lenses in these conditions. Holding down the tripod so as not to lose my equipment over the cliff and into the sea, I got the shot I was after...eventually.
