Elephant Ride #10/15

A very popular tourist attraction in Jaipur is the caravan of Elephants that provide rides to tourists at the Amber Fort. Standing in the way of one of these magnificent animals as they enter through the gate is not for the faint of heart and it took several attempts to get the image I wanted. Although a colourful spectacle, the practice of providing rides to tourists and keeping these animals captive in any capacity, except perhaps for conservation purposes, is not something I agree with and as such did not partake in a 'ride'.
