Patience

During the corona epidemic, older people in care homes waited patiently for their loved ones to be able to visit them again. Yvonne, aged 84 was suffering from dementia. I photographed her hands through the fence that separated us from each other. Yvonne never had the chance to see her loved ones again. At least not physically. She died on June 16th 2020. Some say out of heartbreak, of being alone.
