'Kunzum La' Gouache Sketch

This is a small gouache sketch for an oil painting that I titled 'Kunzum La'. It it is named after the same mountain pass I travelled over in North India back in 2004. Another painting in the Ankaris project. An abandoned spaceship hulk looms over the tiny figures as they traverse the pass. Kunzum Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4.590m (15,059ft) above the sea level, located on the eastern Kunzum Range of the Himalayas, in India. It is one of India’s highest motorable mountain pass. It's the highest point of the Spiti Valley Road.
