This photo was created at the peak of fall in the early hours of the morning. A 10km hike leaves from the shores of the infamous Moraine Lake weaving its way through the forest and into the subalpine.
The larches glow golden in the sunlight and present an otherworldly experience amongst towering 10 peaks and lakes. I have hiked this route multiple times in chase of this rare reflection, only to be let down time and time again by strong winds gusting through the valley. But finally, on a cool September morning, 4 attempts later, I found my opportunity.
