A pair of sub adult red deer stags find their moment under the Winter sun.
An image taken on a cold winter morning, in difficult conditions due to the lack of light and lack of space in a wood full of fallen branches that made it difficult to stalk the deer without spooking them as you couldn't walk without stepping on dry branches & twigs cracking under your shoes.
I waited for over 2 hours in the freezing cold, as I followed a group of stags walking across this wood. I was hoping that one or a couple of them would separate from the group for me to get an uncluttered frame.
