I bought my first camera and took my first image of the northern lights three years ago in my hometown of rural Manitoba. I'll never forget that night and what I felt watching those ribbons of light dance in the night sky. My love for photography was sealed in one shutter click and so was the chase for green lights!!
As I've progressed in the ability to read solar activity, there's still one shot I've never been able to achieve. Capturing a G5 solar storm in the Canadian Rockies...a true rarity due to our location on the aurora belt combined with the variable weather patterns of the mountains.
