Arctic fox winter portrait monochrome

This is a composite created from two photographs. The Arctic fox was shot in mid-February 2021 at the Two Rivers Wildlife Park, a community-run non-profit wildlife recovery center in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. I combined the fox image with a barren background from the farm field in Sheffield Mills, Nova Scotia, where I usually photograph eagles. This combination put this gorgeous - but captive - Arctic fox out in the natural environment where it was destined to be.
