Risin og Kellingin- the giant and the witch are the names of the seastacks you see in this image. Legends tell that once two evil trolls from Iceland got envious of the beauty of the Faroe islands. They decided to pull a rope around one of the amazing cliffs in order to pull the Faroe islands over to Iceland. It took them too long and as the sun rose, they petrified. You see them in the background of this image taken on the island Kallsoy which is part of the Faroe islands archipelago.
