This work touches upon Lacan's theory of the Mirror Stage as a crucial point in the formation of the Ego and the libidinal relationship between the subject and their body image. The Mirror Stage has also a symbolic dimension in the figure of the adult(s) who is often carrying the infant.
This resonated with me when developing my series "Qualia" which focuses on human visual perception, image recognition, subjective experience and projection.
