I first spotted this small opening on Black Sand Beach in Maui. I decided I had to climb through. When I did, I found an opening to the sea. I knew I had to light up the inside of the cave and this was not going to be an easy task. Over the next few years, I traveled to Hawaii and sat in the lava tube day after day until I found the right tide and sky. This cave represents a lesson through nature, that where ever there is desolate darkness there is always an opening to the light.
