After Hockney (Roosevelt Pool)

This GIF was originally created in 2018 and reworked in 2021. Inspired by David Hockney’s iconic pattern, painted on the bottom of The Hollywood Roosevelt hotel pool, this work uses similar strokes in motion. By activating a queer past and looking in-between form, can a queerer future be interpreted? This NFT comes with high resolution, 1080 x 1080 pixel, GIF and MP4 versions which can be played on loop. Also included is a private link to my short film in which this pattern was used.
