January 1st, the first sunrise of the year, I was determined to make this a good one. Waking up at 5:00am with a buddy, we made our way to the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge. This bridge has been shot countless times, so I was really hoping for conditions that were out of the ordinary. A lot of images from here consist of fog along with the bridge. Luckily as we arrived at the bridge, we could tell it was going to be clear, exactly what I had wanted. As the sun slowly began to come up, I ended up shooting this composition at 35mm, a focal length I hardly use.
