In Greek mythology, Medusa described as a winged human female with living venomous snakes in place of hair. Those who gazed upon her face would turn to stone. Jellyfish in Greek is also called Medusa. It is said that jellyfish are her tears. As tears are transparent so is jellyfish. A swimming jelly looks like a decapitated head, sometimes strikingly so. Its many stinging tentacles have the bite of a snake. Instead of snakes, i painted her with jellyfish, her eyes are closed not to hurt anyone, but surrounded by her jelly tears.
