‘fluid fractals | fissure’ is the second work in a series that explores the blurred and diminishing lines between natural and manufactured worlds. In a time where digital and physical life have become so enmeshed, this work pays homage to the unfolding union of the two.
Original photographs of ice crystal formations on window panes are digitally manipulated to a point beyond recognition that leaves an intriguing output for subjective interpretation by the viewer. Infinite possibilities; just as with ice crystal formations, and life as we know it.
This piece juxtaposes bright colors with smoke coming from a cracking surface to conjure a sense of impending unknown as these worlds collide.
