I know you’re not far away, I can see you through this wall we call a body, even if it’s sometimes too thick to feel the soul.
I touch your face, but I’m not actually feeling you—I’m only feeling the sensations in my hand while touching the texture of your skin. I’m experiencing what’s within me. Yes, we’re here, our bodies are close to each other, but we know so little about each other. We can only perceive each other through ourselves, our own experience, our own universe. We’re so close, and yet so distant.
