Eons ago, a lonely man filled with dread and despair was given the option to sacrifice his sight in exchange for infinite insight, or keep living his miserable life in perpetuity. The comforting familiarity of his melancholic existence held onto the mans judgement, but he understood through this divine ultimatum that living in a chasm of darkness made him blind, so losing his vision would be the only way for him to truly see.
