This photograph holds a very special place in my heart as it's the image that kick started my journey as a photographer and marked the moment that I looked at the world in a whole new light.
It was made back in 2009, on top of Rannoch Moor in Scotland, in early winter. The sun had just begun to set as it caught the light dusting of snow on the distant mountain tops.
Moments before this photograph was made the whole landscape was wrapped in a cold grey blanket that almost had me running for a warm fire and a large dram.
But just as I was about to pack up and hike out, a passing break in the clouds bathed the loch and the mountains in a soft light and gentle warmth that set my heart racing...
