Flourishing, the first composition which also gives the title to the whole series, is about two separate but codependent times in my healing journey. The subject on the lower side represents introspection: exploring the past in search for answers, learning how to spend time with my thoughts and how to protect my energy, while also unlearning specific behavioural patterns embedded in my own societal view.
Conversely, my higher self rests still, represented by the subject at the top, released from ego and from the necessity to ask questions and capable of handling triggers from past experiences.
Healing is not a linear process. Therefore, the two phases are supposed to merge and coexist.
