A Hoop Dream

This image was taken while hanging with family at a basketball court at a housing project in Lake Charles Louisiana. The day was rainy and humid but it was beautiful to watch children play outside in the water. Most neighborhoods these days are void of the laughter and excitement of children playing out in the street. So much of the world today is consumed by latching on to a digital device, interacting with people through an app...but not on this rainy day.
