This photograph was made on the beautiful Loch Stack in the North West Highlands of Scotland.
It was round 7am and bitterly cold. The sun barely managing to break through the thick heavy cloud as the morning mist clung tight to the water like a baby to its mother. The incredibly still air causing the loch to shimmering like a sheet of glass. The soft morning light skating effortlessly across it.
We made our way out across in a small green boat we rounded the first of two points that marked the centre of the loch. Looking up I noticed that the mist had begun to clear and I was met with this scene.
