Much like Tokyo's secretive car and racing subcultures which espouse her, this protagonist is a Japanese folkloric enigma. Until recently, the only consensus is that in circa 1992, "Underground Tokyo" car meets became the mysterious hunting grounds of a new apex predator... We later learn of a fleet of super-charged Itasha, an army of drivers known in the streets as the "Angry Ape Army", and their origins at the hands of a kitsunetsuki they call, "Itasha Jem".
