Night at the wreck

I walked about 2 hours to reach the Sólheimasandur's black sand beach in the south of Iceland with the DC-3 airplane wreck and taking the panoramic of the Aurora borealis and the winter milky way. The crash took place on November 21 1973, It had been delivering equipment for the US Radar Station, the plane was caught in a storm and powerful windgusts with sleet and precipitation, causing ice to built up on the plane.
