2020 DECADE FOR EXPANSION As cameras continue to simplify and automate, adopting an AI-controlled visual language & codes; I have found my power through the intentional use of controls within the lens. The fluidity of manual technique within the camera has brought me to a new understanding of light and the time that passes through it. Using a digital large format camera, the waves of phosphorus, neon, and the light-emitting diodes (LED) found in contemporary public advertisements are being analyzed. The resulting photographs create a textural mapping of wave emissions through fluid control of the camera.
