Stepping into the Illuminated Path

I stand at the edge, Of the darkness and the light, Uncertain of which way to go, But knowing I must take flight. The darkness is familiar, But the light calls to me, Promising a brighter future, And the opportunity to be free. So I take a deep breath, And step into the light, Leaving the shadows behind, As I embrace my new sight. The illuminated path, Is filled with hope and promise, It guides me forward, And helps me to focus. I walk with confidence, Knowing that the light, Will lead me to where I belong, And help me take flight.
