I will never get tired of watching the fog interact with the tips of the trees, the way it swallows them up and then lowers again, revealing the tree tops. These minimal scenes seem to occur quite often in the Pacific Northwest, and this summer I was finally able to capture a few of them. This image is one that was shot on a hasty sunset mission that I was already late for, but when I saw the fog flirting with the trees I knew I had to stop for a few moments. It's little slices of nature like these that keep me coming back the fog and the way it so beautifully hides and reveals the world around us.
