Paper No. 10

Paper was made while in my studio during the height of the pandemic. I was holding a piece of simple white copy paper in the sun. I noticed it making the most surprising forms while moving and shaping it in the light. Thinking of Plato's “The Cave”, and wondering what really makes up our reality? What is the form of spacetime, and can our minds actually perceive its reality? Similar to looking out at the horizon and not realizing the world is round. Perhaps we are “flatlanders living in flatland”.
