What is a temple? For Mykhailo Skop, it’s a place where one faces the unusual. That’s why the temple of Artemis is not just a roof resting on Ionic columns ready to be burned down by Herostratus. It is a place of mystery and miracle. The Ivankiv Historical and Local History Museum, where Maria Prymachenko's works were stored, is a temple of miraculous beasts. It was burned down by barbarians, but the beasts survived. Sensing danger, they left their home (taken out by locals) and made it unsacred.
