Donetsk Academic Regional Drama Theatre, Mariupol

This concept conserves the Mariupol Drama Theatre's remains in a gigantic aquarium. Mariupol is a city by the sea, and the water in the aquarium is salty. It symbolizes all the tears shed because of russian aggression. In a way, the theatre is drowning in tears. Memorial visitors would have a chance to walk down the transparent underwater corridors or completely plunge into the waters. The memorial tower is a lighthouse, where rays of light give hope and pave the way to Mariupol’s bright future.
