When she speaks, it is as if a gently honeyed poison drips into one’s ear—soft, unsuspecting, but full of deceit and love so sharp, mortals would tear at their own flesh, if only to make her happy. Like a bird bred in a cage, Ehime, the Kami of Deceitfulness, grew up in a golden prison of light, exiled by her aunt Himari for a prophecy of her evil, which had yet to come. Yet it was the cage that made her so, giving her time and reason to lean towards her natural talents. Upon shattering the cage, Ehime stepped out, touching cool wet grass.
