Deconstructed Medusa from the Future

This is a deconstructed Medusa from the future. What is different about her appearance is really the same about her mythology. Medusa's story is a story about selfish concupiscence. It's about wanting and desiring something or someone that one knows she must not want. Like the Medusa of the Ancients, this Medusa is trapped in her own view of herself, focused only on her needs and not on the enlivening reality within her imagination. The irony is that while she is tapped into the Virtual Reality headset, there are layers and layers of her own persona that get in the way of what could help her gain enlightenment. She is caught in her own cycle of staring into the abyss of herself.
