Viridian Dreams

This self-portrait captures me in my viridian green Brooklyn bedroom this summer, dreaming of a future where I am a celebrated cubist painter in the modern age. Viridian comes from the Latin word “Viridis” which means “green, blooming, vigorous”. The piece manifests the energy and effort I have invested into my art career and creative dreams. The textured oil painting was created on a canvas with the dimensions of; Height: 30" inches Length: 40" inches Width: 1-1/2" inches The texture of the canvas was created with inc, pencils, oil paint, and acrylic gesso, with multiple layers creating a high-quality painting in the style of cubism.
