Shaman

Crow is Odin’s helper and messenger, much like shamans who transmit the messages they receive from the gods to humans. Rune shamans regard runes as a gift from the gods, not just because Odin received them in an unusual fashion, but also because runes, like letters, can transmit knowledge and wisdom. Runes represent a blessing upon humanity and a sign of the gods’ love for man – they help us understand the forces at work in the natural world and in humanity. The nine “rune sticks” provide the shaman a reminder of the cosmic law of creation, which uses the unseen energy of all beings – after death we are transformed to energy – to create.
