Jera means “year” and represents the two seasons of the annum, which alternate in cyclical succession, coming together to make up a single whole and complementing each other. Jera represents the natural progress of time, which cannot be made to go faster or be influenced in any way, because its internal changes are based on a natural symbiosis with its external environment. Jera represents a constant, slow change, a continuous, flowing process, in which things develop at the appropriate point in the cycle – not before and not after. Jera reflects the natural rhythm of nature and helps us to visualize the progress of cyclical time.
