Landscape Painting

This gorgeous scene was hand painted on 24x30" Stage Two Stretched Canvas with Oil Paint. I started by priming the Canvas with Bob Ross Liquid White. The Cadmium Yellow came first, followed by Indian Yellow, Bright Red, Alizarin Crimson, Prussian Blue, and Midnight Black. I spent about 45 mins blending the sky alone. Then came the gorgeous blue tinted clouds. Which was hard to do over a yellow sky without turning green. There are 5 mountains in this painting. Each a different color. Huge evergreen trees line the edge of our sapphire blue lake. As we get closer to the bottom the trees become taller signifying them getting closer to us.
