Like almost all Schmryptozoa, Phytozephyr kick into a high-energy mode during the periodic release of planktonic seeds by the various graminoid organisms that cover every solid surface. During this time they feed as quickly and efficiently as possible, filling themselves with nutrients to get them through the lean times that make up most of the cycle.
