Art is in the eye of the beholder. One may focus on color while another only sees brush strokes. An artist often has a vision for their piece when creating it, with some aspects being more important to the message than others. When allowing remixes we must either set clear guidelines or accept whatever creations come - even if they mangle the important bits so much it wrenches the heart.
