This unusually hyperactive member of the Margaritum family otherwise displays most traits typical of its relatives in addition to one peculiarity that is yet to be observed in any other known species of cryptobiotic; bioluminescence. Close examination reveals a faint but steady blue glow that emanates from this organism’s inner rings which coincidentally pairs quite nicely with the deep cobalt sheen of its outer shell. This energy burning species requires an abundant source of it to survive, meaning Caeruleum candentis can typically be found in highly congested areas of the network and is rarely spotted beyond the lower depths of the energy column.
